Due to weather and the closing of schools tomorrow, we will have to postpone Friday's Benefit Concert for the Choirs. We hope to reschedule it for a later date this semester. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to bring treats and to sell concessions and tickets. We'll be sure to contact you with the new date of the concert once it's been determined. Let's plan for a HUGE turnout to support our choir students! North Carolina-based band, James Garland, featuring Cedar Ridge senior Logan Butler, will perform a benefit concert for the CRHS Choir Program at 7pm on Feb. 27 in the CRHS Auditorium. Durham band Tiny House--led by Chorus Boosters President Ben Kimmel and featuring Angie Phillips, Choral Director--will open the show. Snacks and beverages for sale, too! Doors open at 6:30. General admission tickets are $5, and all proceeds will go toward helping our choirs travel to Disney World for a choral competition in April. For more information and tickets, please contact Angie Phillips at [email protected], or call919-245-4000, ext. 21082. Come on out for a great show and support the choirs at the same time!
The Pre-Festival Choir Concert has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 3, at 7:00pm in the CRHS Auditorium. All three CRHS choirs will perform. Tickets are $5 at the door; seniors 60 and over, children 13 and under, and Orange County employees enjoy free admission.
Due to inclement weather and Orange County school closings the Pre-Festival Choir Concert will be postponed. The new concert date will be posted as soon as it has been chosen.
Choir students have been hard at work preparing for MPA--Music Performance Adjudications--which they will participate in next month. Leading up to MPA, all three CRHS choirs will perform in a Pre-Festival Concert on Feb. 24 in the CRHS Auditorium at 7:00pm. Tickets are $5 at the door; seniors 60 and over, children 13 and under, and Orange County employees enjoy free admission.
The All-County Chorus Showcase scheduled to occur at Orange High School on Saturday, Feb. 21, has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
These CRHS Choir students have been selected to be part of the NCMEA High School All-State Choir. They will participate in choral clinics, rehearsals, and performances in May. Congratulations, students!

CRHS Choir students are selling handmade items to help raise money to compete at Disney World in April. Some of the items for sale include flannel pajamas and shorts in a variety of sizes, earrings, hair bows, soaps, scarves, and bracelets. Check out their crafts Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays outside the Auditorium during lunch.
For $3, CRHS Choir students will sing to your sweetheart during lunch on Friday, Feb. 13. Students will be taking orders in the Auditorium and the Media Center at lunch time next week (Feb. 9-13).
