 Auditions for next year's choirs: Monday, February 27- Friday, March 10! Sign up sheets are outside the Choir Room! What do I have to do to Audition? Sing 1 minute of a song of your choosing: A capella Sing with the piano and match pitch/ determine vocal range Short Sight Reading Passage If you are interested in auditioning or just seeing what the Choir program is about, come see Mrs. Phillips in the Choir room! (G118) Our third Evening of Entertainment (fondly referred to as EOE) is almost here! This event is sort of like a talent show from within the choir. Students sing solos, duets, and our A capella group performs as well.
This will be Thursday, February 23 at 7:00pm at Union Grove United Methodist Church in Hillsborough, NC. This is located at 6407 Union Grove Church Road. If you have never attended, you are missing out! All tickets (regardless of age) are $5 at the door. Snacks will also be available for purchase and all money benefits the choir program. We hope you will join us and bring a friend (or two!) Choir students have been hard at work preparing for MPA--Music Performance Adjudications--which they will participate in next month. Leading up to MPA, all three CRHS choirs will perform in a Pre-Festival Concert on Feb. 20 in the CRHS Auditorium at 7:30pm. Our auditioned choirs will receive a 10 minute clinic after their performance from adjudicators.
Tickets are $5 at the door; seniors 60 and over, children 13 and under, and Orange County employees enjoy free admission. |
