Ms. Pegram will be holding individual auditions for those students interested in being in Sotto Voce or Chamber Ensemble in the 2014/2015 school year. Auditions will take place after school March 17 - 21 in the Choir Room. Slots are also available in the mornings. Sign up for an audition time on the bulletin board in the Choir Room.
The audition process consists of 30-60 seconds of a prepared solo to be sung a cappella, voice ranging, and a short sight-singing excerpt. Audition results will not be posted until June. Rising freshmen may audition. Congratulations to both Chamber Ensemble and Sotto Voce for receiving SUPERIOR ratings at MPAs in Raleigh today! This is the highest rating awarded. Thank you to Ms. Pegram and her students for their hard work and dedication!
The MPA trip to Meredith College has been rescheduled and coincides with the planned Boosters Meeting on March 11. That meeting has been cancelled and will be held on another date still to be determined.
Ms. Pegram was able to get our choirs back on the MPA schedule! They will be performing Tuesday, March 11, after school.
Students should bring their uniforms to school on Tuesday. They will depart CRHS at 3:30pm and return to the school by 7:30pm. If they have not already turned in the MPA permission slip, they must turn it in before getting on the bus. Students should bring money for food. Please contact Ms. Pegram if you have questions: [email protected] UPDATE! -- Orange County Schools will be closed tomorrow, March 10, and as per school policy, the trip to Meredith for MPAs has been cancelled. Ms. Pegram will try to reschedule our choirs' appearance if possible.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Chamber and Sotto choirs are participating in MPA (Music Performance Adjudications) at Meredith College in Raleigh on Monday, March 10. Choirs will be evaluated for performance and sight-reading skills, and will have an opportunity to hear other NC high school choirs.
